Back on the Scene... Again!!!

Before I truly express my thoughts of the day, I want to welcome myself as well as you all back to my blog! I really need to pray and ask for forgiveness to the blog gods for my neglect..terrible..lol! So, In all honesty it has been about four years since I have posted. Oooh.. If I knew then what I know now, I would tell myself to pay attention to the details and to trust my instincts! Not to digress, but in 2013, I was still one year away from completing my Masters in Clinical Psychology, living in West Texas, and had not yet married a man that I would only live with for six months before deciding it was time to move out and file for divorce. Yeah... a lot has happened in terms of learning my mental strengths and the importance of creating emotional boundaries.


Today,I continue to welcome the stretching of my heart and spirit that growth provides, but now I am specifically making moves to step deeper into my passion and create more of my happiness from within, which I encourage everyone to try as soon as possible!!! With that being stated, I definitely look forward to revealing more of what I have discovered from my past but more importantly how the taste of my failures, lessons, and successes have significantly fueled my continued desire to anchor my roots even deeper into the fertile soil of truth in becoming more and more authentically me.


Now as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas, one of the many reasons I decided to reestablish this blog is to offer effective but simple ways to improve psychological well being, physical fitness, and most importantly teaching individuals how to love themselves, thereby being able to give love to others.
If one person reads it and comes away feeling better about themselves via learning a new fitness technique, or discovering better coping strategies for dealing with phase of life concerns, or finding comfort knowing that they are not alone in their struggle, then I will have done my job!

On a lighter and final note, I recently went to a weight loss event in South Dallas that highlighted a new product by the name of Obalon. In my next blog, I will talk about the product's benefits, possible disadvantages, and where the procedure can be done for those in my audience that are interested in wanting more information... until next time!

Summer Time 2013

Wow... The lazy days of summer is here, and in full effect.. Yay!!! Ok.. Confession, it has been a busy year and there has been some changes.. Lol! So... I really did not make time for my blog, and it has being laying fallow for a while( sad face) However today seemed like as good a day as any to begin writing again. There is definitely alot of wonderful, and interesting events unfolding in my purposefully driven life. This past year I graduated with my bachelors in December of 2012.I began working on my masters in clinical psychology in the spring of 2013, which I am scheduled to finish in the fall of 2014... however... (Drumroll) the most unexpected exciting thing I also want to reveal is that I found love!!!! Yep.. I said it..L.O.V.E.-eeeee..( in my Rihanna voice)or better yet..it found me.. And when I least expected it,imagine that! Yes ladies.. A lesson I recently learned is not to loose hope out there when it comes to obtaining a good man...it could very well be that your prince is still learning the life lessons he needs to learn so that he will be all that he needs to be to love you to the fullest.Patience is definitely a virtue:))

Just like it was yesterday, I can remember sitting on the living room floor While my eager fingers would glide through my mother's vast Teena Marie album collection. Hearing Songs like, Out on a limb, Ooh la la,or Emerald City was a every day thing in my house! I developed a great love and appreciation for her work as a artist. Teena Marie made her voice heard not just in the R&B music world,but in other music genres as well. She will be missed greatly, however It is comforting to know that she will live on through her music for ever.

Wow.... It's Almost 2011

It's been a looooong time since I posted. It is actually ridiculous,how long it's truely been however to my defense I have been going through a few things that called for some solitude for a while. I'm
happy to be back on the scene though. So ... Christmas is over and it's almost 2011. What are your New Year resolutions? I know my New Year resolutions is not to second guess myself.. Yep.. That's right!!! Once I make a decision, that's what it is! I'm done with the indecisiveness!! So cheers to a better me and a better you in 2011.. Have a blessed New Year folks!!!!

Sometimes the very thing a person seeks to remove themselves can sometimes tragically be the very thing they become... I am going thru changes.. Some positive, and some attributes,things amd people sadly I definitely need to put far away from my inner circle of influence. As I learn more and understand myself I pray that my intentions and actions will be authentic, loving, and courageous.
